Some time has passed since I finally took 7 days off to discover the beauty of Belgium, the country I've been leaving in for the last 14 months..
Between 23-28
of September I received the visit of one of the most important person from my life, my sister Cornelia:). She finished her term in
AIESEC international and now she is waiting to see what path she will take..meanwhile, Coco has been travelling a lot taking well deserved holidays...
But going back to our holidays in Belgium..(it's going to be a long post, I am warning you from the beginning:))
The tour I
chousse after talking with some
belgian friends, was the following:
First stop Hasselt, famous for it's shopping, it's free transportation (surprising, no?) and also for the biggest
japanese garden from Europe (or at least this is what was saying in
the guide)

The second day, the plan was to go to
Brugge..The 3 of us, Coco, Ana and me took the train towards
Brugge, but due to lack of time we didn't buy tickets. Of course, as the plan from home doesn't always match the one from the road, so when the
controller came we had a small "discussion"which ended up with us being asked to get off otherwise the police will
interfere..

And this is how we ended up in ..
Gent, our second stop - a beautiful city which combines an old
architectural style with amazing location and
canals (not as famous as
Brugee, but maybe even more beautiful because you can discover the real
belgian culture as there are not that many tourists).

The next day, Monday,
Brugge become our destination..This time only me and Coco headed for our destination..
Brugge is a destination for all the people that are visiting Belgium..Considered a very
romantic city,
Brugee is a target for all the couples as well..The nice
architecture of the buildings, the view and the nature creates indeed a very nice atmosphere..(if only there were not that many tourists..)
Antwerp was our final destination...The city of
diamonds, the paradise of shopping (this is how it is known as well) was discovered by us in a rainy day..Of course, the rain didn't stop us to have a great time and to discover the beauty of the city, but didn't help to much in discovering the magic of the city.

The outcome of my holidays in Belgium, is that contrary to what people's perception is, Belgium is a beautiful country which has a lot to offer, but we just need to take the time to discover it...
I had a great holiday and this is mainly because my sister was with me..Thank you Coco!
