Winter holidays part 2: Madrid
On the 29th of December together with Coco, Amit and Mairi we departured for the city that was meant to be our host for welcoming the New Year!!!Madrid has been a wonderful host for us providing amazing weather, great food, accommodation and of course lots of things to visit:)..During the 5 days we stayed we had the chance to visit:
- The Art Museum
- The Royal Palace
- The Cathedral
- La Puerta del Sol
- The stadium Santiago Barnabeau ( as Coco is a fan of Real Madrid:))
- Many other beautiful areas of Madrid
It was great! Being the first New Year Party spent outside Romania, I didn't know what to expect, but I can say that my expectation were exceeded...Every place we visited had something special that help me discover more about the Spanish culture and about the world in general...
The hostel were we stayed was also amazing, one of the best I've ever been in..awarded in 2004 as the best hostel, I can second that prize for 2006 also..If you plan to go to Madrid I really recommend to try Cat's hostel , very close to Puerta de Sol and the center of Madrid...
What else is to be said...New year resolutions? Of course:)..
A! If you want to read more about Madrid, you can also vist Amit's blog:)..he described our experience even nicer than me:)

Was good to have you in Madrid. Btw, I finally mamnaged to see the English version of "The Holiday" - such a cute movie! [After the Spanish version in the movie theatre in Madrid - where I slept through the entire movie]
