One step closer...

I really have a good reason for not posting anything in the last 2 weeks..believe me!!! My degree exam, the visa process and @..took all the time I had and they still are:)

Ok, so today I had the test for my degree exam..I still have to defend my thesis in the following days, but it will be much easier..( or at least I hope so)

The grade wasn't the best one, more going to average, but at least it's finished. True, I am not myself now ( a bit disappointed) but it was to be expected..I really didn't have the time to study...

My degree exam wasn't the only thing I had to focus one in the last weeks..These weeks I also started the process to obtain my visa for Belgium and the romanian bureaucracy is killing me ( not to say about the money I have to pay)...Also, You Can! is approaching with fast steps and there are still so many things to be done and I can't give 100% of my attention to it...And like it wasn't enough, we started the transition for XQB..and of course I couldn't do that much there either!!!

I feel useless!!!! Or I wished the day was 30 hours to be able to do everything...

Anyway, this week I have plans to catch up with everything...I will finish with my degree exam, and I will have more time to concentrate on things I really like..like You Can! and XQB!!!

Plus, what a better present for my graduation than my sister coming for 4 days home:) Yupeeee!!!

I will keep you updated, I promise!!!

Today I had my first interview for a traineeship, for the first TN I've applied..and a few hours later I received an email with " Congratulations" ....

So, my new home will be in .....Belgium!!! I will a part of the amazing Inbev family and I am really happy and excited of this!!! And as it wasn't enough..I will be working on Project Management..How cool is that?

A! Special thanks goes to Tom Gara, who gave me the chance to have this interview...

I am happy happy happy happy!!!!!

Isn't it a wonderful day?

Another weekend...

..alone in Bucharest..

Sad..I miss the action in my life..the time when I was away all day, when I was meeting new and interesting people..

These days I am staying home, trying to study for my thesis...

The matching process is not going well either...The TN managers are not replying my mails:(..Sad....I wonder, can we put in the Exchange Quality Standards a must to answer at the matching mail? It's really frustating...

I had to stay this weekend in Bucharest for a You Can chat, while my parents went to the country side ..the place I dream of for weeks..I hope it will worth it...

Anyway, I don't feel like doing anything..and I can't even sleep..so now the TV is my best friend..

Catch you later...hopefully when I will be in a better mood:)

"Making your life a creative work of art."

While reading some materials for my thesis I discovered this...Some snaps from a Jim Collins article, the author of "From good to great" and "Built to last"

A great piece of art is composed not just of what is in the final piece, but equally important, what is not. It is the discipline to discard what does not fit -- to cut out what might have already cost days or even years of effort -- that distinguishes the truly exceptional artist and marks the ideal piece of work, be it a symphony, a novel, a painting, a company or, most important of all, a life.

1) What are you deeply passionate about?
2) What are you are genetically encoded for -- what activities do you feel just "made to do"?
3) What makes economic sense -- what can you make a living at?

Those fortunate enough to find or create a practical intersection of the three circles have the basis for a great work life.

Think of the three circles as a personal guidance mechanism. As you navigate the twists and turns of a chaotic world, it acts like a compass. Am I on target? Do I need to adjust left, up, down, right? If you make an inventory of your activities today, what percentage of your time falls outside the three circles?

If it is more than 50%, then the "stop doing list" might be your most important tool. The question is: Will you accept good as good enough, or do you have the courage to sell the mills?"

Random thoughts: pancakes, memories and my thesis

Strange combination of word isn't it? I agree...

While I am listening " I had the time of my life" played by Bill Medely and Jennifer Warnes memories are starting to come... Memories from my last 5 years I spent in the University, from my entire AIESEC experience, memories of the people I've met..

The most recent one: I spent 2 amazing days with my colleagues in the mountains... I spent a few wonderful hours with them on Thursday eating pancakes and looking at the 300 pictures we took in Busteni..and I felt bad. I felt bad because during my university years I didn't had the time to get to know them better, to make a step outside and to look at the people around me..Because they are special.

And my thesis..my wonderful thesis which is killing me slowly..I have to finish it this weekend and although I love the subject I choose..is not easy when my teacher's demands are so big.(although is my fault cause I should have finished some time ago:P)...My thesis which kept me going as a chair at a Train the Facis conference where I would have loved to go and get in contact with the new people from @..But I guess everything has a purpose..and probably I will discover later..

Enough complaining...I have to go start working on my thesis and to eat my mom's wonderful food..She is spoiling me so much..
New post coming soon..tomorrow I am going to my cousin birthday party:)

Just perfect!

And it happened..Although they were announcing bad weather, on Sunday we left to the mountains..and it was perfect!

How did everything start?

Sunday, 2nd of July

5:20 am.
The alarm clock starts ringing. We are meeting at 7 in front of the railway station, but because they are repairing the street I don't know how long is going to take from my place to the railway station, so..just to make sure...

No coffee in the morning, my parents left to our house in the country side on Saturday, so my mom is not here to prepare my coffee..and of course I am to lazy:)

6:00 am

I am leaving my place to head for the railway station.

6:30 a.m

I am there! Of course it didn't take long to, it was Sunday! Who is waking up in a Sunday morning at 5? Well, now I know that there is not that much traffic on a Sunday morning ( an important key learning point:))

Till 7:00 am I am walking around waiting for my friends to come..It is a nice morning, but I am a bit sleepy:)

7:00 am

And we all are here! Me, Flori, Nicoleta( a friend of mine), Mena, Alina, Doru, Ana..6 girls and 1 guy heading to Busteni:)

Of course there were a lot of jokes and fun on the train, happy faces and sleepy people..But we did it! After 2 years that we spent together in school we've finally took the time to get to know eachother..and I don't regret even a second:)

Arrived in Busteni we got ourselves checked in and went shopping for the barbecue that we planned in the evening. After everything was ready, the mountains were ours!

A long hiking of 5 1/2 hours put our muscles in shape:) We've managed to visit Poiana Costilei, Pichetul Rosu, Poiana Izvoarelor, Gura Diham and after..home sweet home:)

It really was great! I've missed the mountains so much!

A good dinner is always welcomed so the barbecue was amazing: lots of food and joy that continued with cards games and wine:). Also Doru's brother came with his Yamaha motocicle, so some of the girls were really excited:)

Monday, 3rd of July

Wake up at 8:30 and started preparing breakfast:).. Till 12:00 we didn't manage to leave the house as after breakfast the girls wanted a ride with the motocicle:)

But when we've finally did we choose a great objective: Cascada Urlatoarea..heaven on Earth!Believe me when I tell you..it was perfect!

Of course now I am sun burned, but who cares? Was worth it!

Pictures will come soon, I promise..On Thursday we are meeting together again for some pancakes and photo slide show:)

And did I forget to mention that the weather was amazing? Some drops of rain on Sunday, but a sunny day on Monday!!!

I really needed this 2 days...new friendship were born and now I am more relaxed...Relaxed and with a shade of pink:)

PS: This is one of my favourite picture:)

Sleeping in the rain...

Well...not quite, but I didn't know what title to put in order to underline the most important things that happen these days:)...

Yes, it is raining!!!! And it's raining quite a lot..we have floods again in Romania, and although I normally will be really happy with the rain because of the temperature we had lately, now I am a bit sad..I am planning to go in the mountains tomorrow and I hope will not rain, otherwise all our plans will have to change.

And yes my sleeping schedule is getting strange..I am waking up daily the latest at 7:30..Imagine waking up in a Saturday at 6:30 and not because you have something to do..Just like that...And don't worry, it's not like I am actually doing something..I am spending almost the entire day in front of my computer..I know, very interesting, no?

Anyway..no matter what tomorrow I am going to enjoy the fresh air from Bucegi and I am really happy, especially because I don't think I will have problems waking up at 5:00 am in order to catch the 7:30 train:P

Some other news..I've finally had more than a 5 min conversation with my sister:)..Well, her life is quite boring in Rotterdam: transition, teambuilding and yes...the planning meeting in Pisa, Italy..Poor her, no? 1 week in Italy...Well, but I am just jealous, don't worry...actually she is working a lot and she deserves all the best things in the world:) ( I know, I am getting sentimental..I just couldn't help myself...she is my sister afterall:))
